Park Hyatt Dubai is Dubai’s best-kept hotel secret. While the city’s attention focuses on palm-shaped islands and rocket-shaped towers, Park Hyatt sits quietly on the banks of Dubai Creek, surrounded by an 18-hole golf course, with one of the most beautiful pool settings in the entire Middle East.
The Setting
The hotel is built around the Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club, with the iconic dhow-sail-shaped clubhouse as its centrepiece. Rooms overlook either the Creek, the golf course, or the marina. Sunsets from the poolside are spectacular — the Dubai skyline reflected on the water with traditional wooden dhows passing below.
The Rooms
Spacious (from 45 sqm), elegantly decorated in warm Mediterranean tones. Private balconies with exceptional views — the Creek View rooms are worth every extra dirham. Park Hyatt’s signature calm and quality throughout.
Dining
Thai Kitchen is one of Dubai’s finest Thai restaurants. Traiteur (French) has beautiful Creek views. The poolside grill for lunch is a civilised pleasure.
Who Should Stay Here
Golfers (the 18-hole course is excellent), couples wanting a romantic city escape, and anyone who prefers substance over spectacle. The location in Deira/Garhoud is less flashy than the Marina but more authentic, and the Metro is nearby for exploring.
From AED 700–1,200/night. Outstanding value for the experience.
